Elevators

An elevator belt is fitted with elevator buckets in a vertical system; it is used to transport grains in a vertical system – typically into a silo from the intake pit, pre-cleaner or bagging bin. It is the most reliable way to lift grain safely and efficiently.

Elevations system works by way of an inlet chute; at the bottom is fed a constant stream of grain. Buckets attached to a belt descend and scoop up the grain as they pass through the bottom of the shaft. The shaft maybe hundreds of feet high and it is filled with scoopers that move up and down the belt. When the grain reaches the top of the shaft, they in turn empty their material into the discharge throats that channel the stream into a container.

As each scooper empties its load, it is returned into a sprocket or pulley near the bottom of the shaft where the process repeats itself. Bucket elevator is actually calibrated to feed a continuous and
