Elevations system works by way of an inlet chute; at the bottom is fed a constant stream of grain. Buckets attached to a belt descend and scoop up the grain as they pass through the bottom of the shaft. The shaft maybe hundreds of feet high and it is filled with scoopers that move up and down the belt. When the grain reaches the top of the shaft, they in turn empty their material into the discharge throats that channel the stream into a container.
